Which is the thinnest wall of orbit ?(if u can give reference also please)

Which is the thinnest wall of orbit ?(if u can give reference also please) and if medial wall is the thinnest, then why floor of the orbit is the most common sight for orbital fractures?

1.Lamina Paparacea-the medial wall is the thinnest.

2.The orbital floor fracture,described clinically as blow out fractures is a matter of controversy. The physical mechanism of orbital blowout fracture has been a subject of debate for years by maxillofacial surgeons, ophthalmologists, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists and others.
3 mechanisms of injury have been hypothesized:
hydraulic theory,
globe-to-wall theory and
bone conduction theory.
Blowout fractures of the orbit is considered to be due to a combination of 2 or more mechanisms.
There are excellent reviews on these mechanisms in leading journals ,which you may have to consult to get a better understanding of these fractures and their mechanism.

yes medical wall of the orbit is the thinnest wall, you can consult any eye anatomy book

and that what happened in blowout fracture, mechanical forces causes the floor to crush apart......
