I'm going back to finish my residency in New Orleans, LA at Tulane University. Well, ah, the Indian men comment was totally wack-I have no specific experience in that regard, well, not that actually counts. See, the difficult part for me is that I like dark men, but I am totally through with sweet street poet-soulful uneducated types. So, I started musing on the many Indian doctors around; yes, they can be hot when they are socially sophisticated, but they all want to run back and marry Indian women to please their parents. I think the deal is, I am a 3rd generation English-American, basically no specific ethnic identity in American culture. I have a multi-cultural worldview which makes me liberal and, I guess, not able to appreciate how strong a force tradition can be. But, geez, a whole subcontinent of narrow minded men? Maybe if I went to London...

Fast reply! and dude, you r making me laugh with the eminent business. I'm hyper-educated, yes, but I still have 2 more years of residency. My years of major glory are yet to come. BTW- you might be just the type of person I could ask about the frustrating phenomenon of Indian men...

Hi! I noticed some comments on your page; it seems you are probably studying for the USMLE step exams.
Medicine is a second career for me and I just took step 3 myself. I really feel that just keeping positive and determined is the MOST critical factor. I have seen (over many years of teaching med school as a PhD) that correct attitude and dedication are dominant factors--anyone who completed med school certainly has sufficient intellectual tools--success boils down to strong nerves and good support!! Best of luck!!

i did my kaplan videos for step 1,it took around 2 months to finish the whole videos, that too at break neck speed..then another 3 months for revising, doing usmle world and first aid..for step 2 ,read kaplan books and did usmle world (didnt do first aid) for about 2 and half months..

i didnt usmle first aid as well...i didnt do goljan, didnt get time for that..some of my friends told me that its good..but people still score well without it as well....after all this, take an nbme exam..the score u get in it,will almost be the same u get in the main exam..if by any chance the score is low,u can postpone ur exam..
